What qualities are you looking for?

Enthusiasm, compassion, and dedication. We welcome motivated individuals who enjoy working with children.

Do I need to speak Spanish?

It is helpful to have a basic command, as all activities are in Spanish. Full immersion is the best way to learn.

What is the time commitment?

A minimum of one month, but ideally three months or more for a lasting impact. There is no maximum time.

Is accommodation available?

Yes, we have rooms for volunteers on the second floor of the center, with a kitchen and bathrooms with hot water.

How do I get to Cajamarca?

The most economical option is a 15-hour overnight bus from Lima. You can also fly, although it is more expensive.

What is life like in Cajamarca?

It is a city rich in history with much to offer: restaurants, archaeological sites, and excellent hiking trails.
